Balochistan situation is his highly critical. Another mission of 25 members would soon Visit Balochistan: UN Working Group.
The leaders of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons have submitted a list of 2300 Baloch missing persons to the visiting United Nations mission in Quetta City of Balochistan yesterday. VBMP delegation headed by Nasarulla Baloch and vice chairman Kareem Baloch apprised the UN Working Group about the extra-judicial arbitrary arrests, enforced disappearances gross human rights abuses and a list of 2300 missing persons was presented to the UN mission and told them that the number of missing is in thousands. But the total numbers of missing persons who have been documented so far are 1321 which have been enforcedly disappeared by security forces in Balochistan. Nasurulla told the press that they had apprised UN mission about the mutilated dead bodies numbering more then 450. They wanted to present that list of killed ones, but UN mission admittedly said that the situation in Balochistan is highly volatile and their mandate is limited to only collecting and documenting information about enforced missing persons. Waja Nasuralla said that United Nations working group had assured him that another group of 25 members of the United Nations would soon visit Balochistan. The chairman of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons further said that, during the briefing, they had apprised the UN mission about the negative role of the Pakistani governmental institutions towards Baloch nation and expressed their dismay that they had no expectation that those Pakistani institutions and organizations would ever deliver any justice to Baloch masses. Though, the Supreme Court had taken some steps, but the secret agencies did not take the court seriously and did not allow the enforcedly disappeared persons to appear before the court. Therefore it is now incumbent upon United Nations and all other humanitarian organizations to play their obligatory role on human rights crisis in Balochistan.
Meanwhile, Mama Qadeer Baloch, the Vice chairman of VBMP told the press that their representative delegation, consisting of families of Baloch Missing Persons, met the UN working group mission and submitted the list 500 mutilated dead bodies and 14000 missing persons. He said the UN delegation assured Baloch missing persons’ delegation that they would pass on the list to the rulers. He said there is a huge difference between the lists of missing persons provided by them and the list provided by other party of the government. He further said that the government had tried hard to hide the facts. But the Baloch delegation submitted their lists of missing persons and mutilated dead bodies to United Nations working group with all evidences.
